The application is a Microsoft Word form — meaning that it’s not possible to “type” onto the form except where form elements have been inserted. This is fine except there are some areas (like recommendation cover sheet) where the form elements are missing, so there’s nothing to do but print the thing out and use an old fashioned way to enter the data. [And there’s a password on the file, so one can’t just “unprotect” it and enter the data required.]

Especially until community colleges appear in the drop down box for college/university, folks will be using the “if other” text box. If there is something in that box it should override the value in the College/University dropdown.

If there’s a need to use that “AAUW Other” as the trigger to read the “if other” box, javascript should be used to set that automatically when someone puts something in the “if other” box.
