Need for training on AAUW web resources
The resources at www.aauw.org are enormously diverse to match the wide range of topics that AAUW members address. While that’s good, it means that a new member or new branch leader may not find what they are looking for — or not know that what they need is just a few clicks away.
This year there has been a pilot teleseminar program that does allow the staff and key volunteers to lead others on a “guided tour” of the web resources for particular areas (membership, communications, public policy). Another attempt to organize the key info into a “Web Resources 101″ was presented at the AAUW NC 2005 Convention.
Others with models for training AAUW members on good uses of the web are urged to post them in the comments!
